Cailleach Winter Release - Single Malt Whisky
Cailleach is the name of the Gaelic Goddess of wind and cold, and the Queen of Winter. As an homage to Robbie's Scottish heritage and the Tasmanian winters that help to create our whisky, we bring you our annual Cailleach Single Malt Whisky release.
This year's whisky is a marriage of two specially selected casks; Apera Cask and Tawny Cask, each matured for 6 years. It was vatted in a ratio that highlights the spiced, warming quality of these cask types.
What to expect: A roasted caramel colour. Aromas of banana bread, rich malt and baked brown sugar. This whisky has a ever present warmth that lingers on the pallet. A perfect winter whisky; inviting, mature and complex. A whisky for long nights and conversation. A whisky to be enjoyed, hunkered down for the night in the dark depths of winter.
